It’s also likely that you’ll lose the only parking space you have in your home and might even violate local laws for on-site parking spaces.
The final drawback that you really have to look out for is your property values. A garage conversion won’t increase your home’s value and may even make selling your home difficult. This is because potential buyers can be turned off due to the lack of protected parking space and extra storage space.
