If you frequently host guests and need more space for gatherings and events, then a larger deck would be ideal. If you plan to use your deck as an extension of your garden or yard, then it’s best to have a modestly sized deck. Maintenance
This is a factor most homeowners tend to overlook. Although most decks are designed to be low-maintenance, you’ll still need to perform regular upkeep to prevent deterioration. Hardwood decks are very resilient, but they need to be regularly inspected and re-finished to retain their appearance and quality.
